In response to the recent earthquake in Haiti, Planet Earth
has mobilized its energy and resources to the region. It's
an unprecedented humanitarian outpouring of aid, but all
aid of all kinds will be in short supply and in high demand for
years to come. In an effort to bring an aid of a different kind
Groove Gallery and director, Marc Lempert, joined up with Gary
Allegretto and his Harmonikids Foundation on a musical aid mission
to Port Au Prince, the heart of the disaster region. The goal: to
deliver hope, joy and the basic act of being a kid again in the form
of music, harmonicas. Groove Gallery, our video services and our
on-the-ground logistical and strategic support helped to ensure
that the aid we brought actually got to the people while we were
there. It was the only kind of aid actually getting out to the Haitians,
actually getting through the chaos and rubble to make a difference.
